Questions

What does +34 mean?+

34 is Spain's country code. The + stands in for the international prefix of the country you are in, so +34 followed by the number works from any mobile, wherever you are.

How do I type + on my phone?+

On the dial pad, press and hold 0 until + appears. Save your contacts with +34 in front and they work the same in Spain and abroad.

Do I drop a 0 from the number?+

No. Spanish numbers have nine digits and no leading 0: dial all nine after 34. If the number already starts with +34 or 0034, do not repeat the code.

Can I call a 900 number from abroad?+

Often not: many 900 and 800 numbers only take calls from Spain. Look on the company's website for a number to call from abroad.

How much does calling Spain cost?+

Your phone company decides, under its roaming rates for the country you are in: check them before you travel. A WhatsApp or FaceTime call is not charged per minute, because it only uses data.

Can I call with a Bidaiesim eSIM?+

Our eSIM is data only: it has no phone number, calls or SMS. With its data you call over WhatsApp, FaceTime or another app, and your usual line stays in the phone with your number for ordinary calls and SMS.

International prefixes: ITU (Operational Bulletin, annexes OB 994 and OB 1114), as listed by Wikipedia, checked October 11, 2026.
